Updates to Subsidies
Previously, subsidies provided to individuals through Healthcare.gov were limited to Individuals/Families under the 400% poverty level.
To qualify for a subsidy, a household's income must be at least 100% of the federal poverty level. However, the income cap is usually 400% of the poverty level, but it doesn't apply from 2021 through 2025. Instead, eligibility is based on the cost of the benchmark plan relative to the person's income.
